Some of you have young children in third grade who are enjoying butterflies and watching the chicks hatch. Here is some information provided by the district.
One of the hightlights of 3rd grade in Akron Pubic Schools is the life cycle of chicken from egg to chicken in 21 days. We are fortunate to have live streaming of this process with daily check-ins of the temperature & humitdity with a picture card of what is happening. Around May 21st will begin the live hatching of the eggs into our little chickens. Click on the the Egg Types to see a chart of what the chickens will looklike as they develop into hens or rosters.
