
True to the mountains, Joseph's roots are in the Pacific Northwest, where he attended Lakes High School in Lakewood, WA. The 31-time USA National team member and 2016 & 2019 World Mountain Running Champion attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in Sociology followed by an advanced degree in Criminology. Now splitting his time training in Colorado Springs, CO and Tacoma, WA, Joseph continues to be a mainstay atop the podium worldwide. He is the first African American to win the USA Mountain Running National Championship, to make the USA World Mountain Running Team, and win the USA National Snowshoe Championship. Additionally, he is the first athlete to win the North American, Central American, and Caribbean Championships in Cross Country and Mountain Running.
Joseph's adventures continue to his life at home, where he loves to create his own recipes. On what he prides himself on, Joseph states, "I stay true to myself no matter the arena I walk into.
